Police are investigating after a woman was allegedly assaulted during a home invasion at Woy Woy last night.
Officers were called to the Beachfront Parade home at around 11.30, to find the 47-year-old injured and in distress.
She told police an unknown man entered her home and repeatedly punched and kicked her before stealing personal items, including her handbag.
She was airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.
Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
