ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE STARTS FIRE AT BERKLEY VALE

Firefighters were faced with flames and smoke coming out of a Berkley Vale home’s windows overnight.
Two upstairs bedrooms were severely damaged at the Lakedge Avenue house.
It’s believed an electrical appliance was left unattended, and caught alight just before 8 o’clock.
Emergency crews contained the blaze within half an hour, sparing the majority of the home from ruin.
Thankfully no one was inside at the time.
