Power is slowly being restored to North Coast households, cut off from the grid by wild weather.
Close to 3,000 households are waiting to get the lights back on – across the Nambucca, Bellingen, Kempsey, MidCoast Council and Port Macquarie-Hastings council areas.
Essential Energy’s helicopters have been inspecting flooded communities, with water damaging power lines.
Access to infrastructure remains a challenge and some areas may remain without power until the weekend.
