HERITAGE OAKS TORN DOWN BY STORM

Tamworth’s picturesque King George Avenue has been battered by wild winds overnight.
The severe thunderstorm resulted in 50 large branches from the heritage-listed English Oak trees falling over the road.
Three trees have even split down to ground level.
Tamworth Regional Council has begun an application process to the Office of Environment and Heritage for an exemption to allow removal of the damaged trees.
