FORMER RUGBY LEAGUE STAR TO REMAIN BEHIND BARS

Former Taree Bulls rugby league player Dean Simpson will remain behind bars, after he was refused bail in Forster Local Court today.
The prominent businessman is facing drug charges, with police alleging he supplied ice on 70 separate occasions.
Mr Simpson was arrested yesterday as part of an undercover police investigation targeting methamphetamine supply in the Manning-Great Lakes area.
Two other men are also facing drug charges.
Mr Simpson’s case has been adjourned until April 19.
