MAN CHARGED AFTER STABBING TEEN ON THE CENTRAL COAST
A man has been charged over the stabbing of a teenage boy on the Central Coast last week.
On the afternoon of April 26, police say two boys, aged 16 and 17, met with a 19-year-old man at Benelong Close in Kincumber.
It’s believed a fight broke out between the trio, before the 19-year-old stabbed the 16-year-old in the thigh.
Emergency services rushed to the street around 1pm, and called on a chopper to airlift the injured teenager to Royal North Shore Hospital.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 19-year-old at a home in Narara on Wednesday morning and charged him with reckless wounding.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court next week.
