Firefighters have come to the aid of a donkey in a sticky situation.
Two specialist crews and the Volunteer Rescue Squad used slings to free the creature from mud at a Mangrove Creek property on Monday afternoon.
The procedure took around 40 minutes and the donkey was later checked over by a vet.
