PONGA LIKELY TO MISS TWO WEEKS WITH GROIN INJURY

Knights star fullback, Kalyn Ponga has been ruled out of Newcastle’s Magic Round clash against Wests Tigers tomorrow night.

Ponga suffered a slight groin tear last weekend in the Knights win over the Raiders in Wagga.

Coach Adam O’Brien says he won’t rush his marquee player back.

Ponga played his first match of the season against the Titans in round five after shoulder surgery.

In five matches, he scored four tries.

Tex Hoy comes back into the side after wearing the number one in the opening four rounds.

The Knights are 10th on the NRL ladder.
