AGRICULTURE MINISTER BITES BACK AT ACTIVIST GROUP COMMENTS ON MICE PLAGUE

Minister for Agriculture, Adam Marshall, has joined the fight against an animal rights organisation, after it claimed farmers should stop eradicating mice.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals spoke out this week, suggesting producers are being inhumane when dealing with the ongoing plague.

“Their comments are not just stupid, but highly offensive and hurtful for people that are dealing with, not just the economic toll of this mice plague, but also dealing with the significant mental health and the strain and burden that they feel.”

It comes a week after the State Government introduced a ‘mice management’ package, for producers.
