Newcastle Council has released its final concept design for the first stage of upgrades to the Newcastle Ocean Baths.
One of the biggest additions – a ramp for people with a disability, on the western edge of the pool.
A new pump station will also be installed for more effective cleaning.
The rounded heritage stairs in the middle of the facility will stay, along with the existing bleacher seating.
Work is expected to start in the coming weeks.
