MOTORCYCLIST CAUGHT ALLEGEDLY SPEEDING MORE THAN 45KM/H OVER THE LIMIT NEAR KEMPSEY

A 61-year-old man has had his licence suspended for six months after he was allegedly detected reaching speeds of 185km/h near Kempsey.

Riding a Yamaha motorcycle, police say they first saw the man travelling 127km/h in a marked 100km/h zone on Macleay Valley Way.

Officers then allegedly detected the man increasing his speed to 185km/h as he travelled towards Frederickton.

Police stopped the man and he was fined $2,520.
