One person has died and another has suffered serious burns, after a light plane crashed in a paddock at Goorangoola, east of Muswellbrook, this afternoon.
Police, five ambulance crews, firefighters and the Westpac chopper were called to the scene off Old Goorangoola Road shortly after 1pm.
It’s understood there were two people onboard the plane.
One patient has been rushed to Sydney’s Royal North Shore hospital, the other died at the scene.
