BATT IMPRESSES AT PARALYMPICS

Port Macquarie’s Ryley Batt was a standout for the Australian wheelchair rugby team, in its first match against Canada at the Paralympics.
The 23-year-old, who’s competing in his third consecutive Paralympic games, scored 37 goals to set his team off to a winning start.
The Aussies eventually defeated Canada 64 to 52, moving them into the second round.
They’ll take on Sweden at around 11pm tonight, Australian Eastern Standard Time.
