WEATHER | COOLER WEEKEND ON THE WAY

The summer inland heat is full on now, due to the lack of cloud cover over the centre of nation.

As we approach the longest day of the year, this is when extreme heat builds and Red Centre records may break. There is a weak low over the SE.

Cooler conditions are on the way for the weekend, with a few coastal showers lingering. All of the inclement weather will clear for Christmas.

Widespread storm and shower development will ease inland along with the extreme heat. Showers are expected along the coast.
