St Francis Xavier’s College at Hamilton has announced it’s cancelling HSC trial exams due to the pandemic.
The exams had already been postponed, but the school now says it’s decided to cancel them outright, as the lockdown continues and students work from home.
It added that it did consider persevering with the exams online.
But “complications of variable internet access, examination security periods, difficulty in providing appropriate disability provisions and reliability of monitoring student work” have led it to adopt the stance that trials are not viable.
The school has also cancelled Year 11 students’ final exams.
