More Mid Coast pharmacies are jumping on board to administer covid vaccinations.

Great Lakes Pharmacy received hundreds of AstraZeneca doses this week..

Locals are already lining up for jabs, with the pharmacy seeing a surge in interest since the Hunter lockdown.

“I think the mindset has changed which has been positive which is really good,” Great Lakes Pharmacy retail manager Amelia Harris said.

“The more that we have vaccinated the better for the community and the safer we’ll remain.”

Tuncurry Pharmacy will receive vaccines later this month.

Others joining the rollout include Taree’s Chemmart and the Pacific Palms Pharmacy.

Almost half of the Mid North Coast population, aged over 15, has received at least one dose.
