BUSHFIRES PUBLIC HEARING HEADING TO TAREE NEXT YEAR

A public hearing will be held at Taree Local Court next March into the horrific 2019 bushfire crisis.

It’s part of a series of regional inquests hosted by the New South Wales State Coroner.

The inquiry will investigate over 40 fires which destroyed almost 2500 homes and killed 26 people.

The hearing begin in the Coroner’s Court in Lidcombe next month and wrap up in Katoomba next July.
