2,000 OVERSEAS WORKERS DEPLOYED TO NSW FARMS THIS YEAR

More than 2,000 overseas workers have now arrived in the state to combat a critical workforce shortage on farms.

Skilled labourers, from the Pacific Islands, have steadily been employed in regions including the North West, over the past year.

Some have also rolled up their sleeves in processing facilities.

The influx has partly been aided by hotel quarantine subsidies.
