WEATHER UPDATE – HAPPY NEW YEAR

NYE 2012 will be a classic for the entire viewing area. Mild overnight temperatures and clear.

2013 is going to get off to a hot start. On Wednesday the next southerly change will move up the coast triggering showers and storms once again. Mostly on and to the east of the ranges arriving in SE QLD Thursday morning.

Inland west of the divide it is going to be a long hot predominantly dry run to start the new year.

Surfers in SE QLD and northern NSW get ready for a long run of swell thanks to slow moving Cyclone Freda. This long run of swell will also cause coastal erosion.
