New statistics have revealed a small increase in employment across the New England.
June records from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed a 5.3 per cent unemployment rate across the region.
Meanwhile, July saw a point-1 per cent increase in jobs – averaging at 5.4 percent.
More than five-and-a-half thousand local jobs have been lost over the past 18 months.
