A Kariong family is lucky to be alive after its house was gutted by fire last night.
This morning, police investigated what’s left of the Fox Close residence, which was engulfed by flames just after midnight.
The mother was woken by smashing sounds and quickly alerted her husband and two young children.
They narrowly escaped injury and were later treated for smoke inhalation at Gosford Hospital.
Great family, eldest daughter was a great friend of mine.
