DECISION ON NARRABRI GAS PROJECT APPEAL RESERVED IN COURT
An appeal to revisit the approval of SANTOS’ Narrabri Gas Project remains before the court.
The $3.6-billion project received the go-ahead from the Independent Planning Commission last year.
The Mullaley Gas and Pipeline Accord has since appealed the decision, believing the IPC didn’t adequately assess the projects impacts.
The matter went before the Land and Environment Court this week.
Justice Brian Preston reserved his decision after hearing from both parties – his findings will be handed down, later this year.
