Work begins Monday on a notorious intersection south of Port Macquarie.
The $2.9 million upgrade on the Pacific Highway intersection with Houston Mitchell Drive includes north and southbound slip lanes, new safety barriers and line markings.
The intersection has been labelled a ‘death trap’ by the community following multiple fatal crashes and near misses at the site in recent years.
