CLINIC OPENS SUNDAYS TO VACCINATE FRONT LINE WORKERS

The Manning Health Hub is playing its part in getting more Taree locals vaccinated.

It’s secured a supply of AstraZeneca from Canberra, allowing the clinic to open on Sundays for front line workers.

The increase should help reduce the two-week wait time for vaccinations.

“We need to get people in who are haven’t been able to get access so we’ve got to improve access to get those people in,” Manning Health Hub owner Dr Simon Holliday said.

Meanwhile, the Mid Coast LGA has recorded its highest testing rate in weeks.

525 swabs were processed for the virus on Monday, the same day the Woolworths Taree store and Jack and Co petrol station were listed as exposure sites.

Workers at both locations have since returned negative results.
