It’s a socially distanced sport – so the state government’s encouraging anglers to get back out on the water, when trout fishing season begins on Saturday.
A bumper season is expected, after heavy rainfall during the cooler months.
The Agriculture Minister says trout streams – as well as artificial lure and fly streams – are fully stocked.
But you must have a valid licence before casting a line.
