FORESHORE WORKS BEGINNING IN MARCH

Work is set to begin in early March on the major upgrade of Taree’s Manning River foreshore.
The $1.2-million project, funded by the federal government, will see the newly developed site where the old pool was situated, connected to the main foreshore.
There’s also plans to include pedestrian access through the Bicentenial Gardens to Browns Creek, and add an entertainment precinct.
Greater Taree City Council believes the re-development will not only provide a social and cultural space for the community, but also help boost commercial activity in the nearby CBD.
