TAMWORTH HITS HIGHEST EVER NUMBER OF DAILY COVID CASES

Eight of those 83 cases were in Tamworth the city’s highest daily amount since the pandemic began.

The infections – as well as a new one at Gunnedah – are all linked to the Carroll Cotton Gin cluster.

Health says the eight West Tamworth cases may pose a transmission risk.

Authorities are yet to decide whether Tamworth will join Gunnedah in lockdown, with ‘freedom day’ just around the corner.
