WILD PIG CAUSES CRASH THAT LEAVES TWO CRITICAL
A car-load of five has been involved in a serious car crash outside of Narrabri overnight.
The Toyota Landcruiser reportedly hit a wild pig, before the driver lost control and hit a tree, just before 1:30am
The occupants, four men and a woman were trapped inside the vehicle for several hours, before being freed by Fire & Rescue.
The 28-year-old male driver was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with critical injuries.
His front seat passenger, a 21-year-old man was taken to Narrabri Hospital, before also being flown to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
The back-seat passengers all sustained serious injuries.
The 21-year-old woman was airlifted to St George Hospital, and the 22-year-old man was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
The 20-year-old man was taken to Narrabri Hospital.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has been launched.
