13 HISTORICAL BUILDINGS TO GET A SPRUCE-UP

They’re an important part of our history and now, heritage-listed buildings across the region are set to receive a spruce-up.

13 churches, residential and community buildings will each get a slice of $40,000 in state government funding.

Projects in Tamworth, Barraba, Manilla, and Duri were among the lucky recipients.

But heritage restoration work is expensive, so the council’s hoping funding will be increased in next year’s budget.
