TAREE BUSINESSES FEAR CRIME WAVE IS FAR FROM OVER

Business owners fear a spate of break-ins across the Taree’s CBD – is far from over.

More than a dozen businesses have been hit in the past month, with Cafe Nosh targeted again.

CCTV shows a person breaking in and stealing several items over the weekend.

With new vaccination requirements impacting the business, its owner says the incident is another blow.

“We can only get certain people into the shop so sales are down and it puts us back and it’s really hard at the moment… it’s just not good and something needs to be done about it,” Cafe Nosh owner Joe Blackmoore said.

A computer store was also targeted during the week- two people shown fleeing off with cash and stock.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
