NEWCASTLE NAMED AIRPORT OF THE YEAR

While enduring the impact of the pandemic on the aviation industry, Newcastle Airport has beaten its counterparts around the country, taking out the Major Airport of the Year award for 2021.

The top gong is given out by Australia’s peak airport body to one with more than 500,000 annual passengers, which displays excellence across all aspects of operations and development.

It’s the third time Newcastle has won – it’s management thanking the community for its support over the past two years.
