NEW ENGLAND, NORTH WEST TESTING RATES DROP SIGNIFICANTLY

More cases have been recorded in the New England North West overnight as testing rates decline.

24 cases were clocked in Tamworth, and there were 14 each in Armidale and Moree.

There were fewer in the Liverpool Plains, Gunnedah, Narrabri, Gwydir, and Walcha.

With clinics closed over the Christmas period, swab rates have dropped.

It’s expected figures will increase in coming days, with data showing just 82 tests completed on Boxing Day in Tamworth, compared with over 900 a few days prior.

Gunnedah also saw a significant drop.
