Wauchope’s aging ambulance station will soon be no-more, with council approving plans for a new facility.
The current structure on High Street will be demolished, making way for a new single storey station with six internal ambulance parking spaces.
It will also feature administration and storage space along with lockers, bathroom, kitchen and dining areas.
The ambulance station is expected to employ up to 12 full-time equivalent staff and operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
