SLEEPBUS MAKING A STOPOVER IN TAREE

A new service, helping the homeless and vulnerable is en-route to Taree.

A Sleepbus, which provides temporary accommodation, will be making a stopover at the MidCoast Council chambers on Monday.

The Manning Homeless Action Group is right now raising funds to keep one permanently in the Manning Valley.

“It will relieve a lot of problems and we’ve got a lot of support from Compass Housing and Samaritans who really would like to see this bus because sometimes they’ve just got nowhere to send anybody,” the group’s Terry Stanton said.

The charity’s CEO Simon Rowe will arrive on the bus about 6pm.
