In the Black Diamond AFL competition, Terrigal Avoca has stormed home to beat local rivals Killarney Vale.
Singleton edged out Warners Bay and Newcastle City beat Cardiff.
The two sides traded blows, Josh Avis giving City a slender advantage.
When Courtney Knight added a major, the home side looked in control.
Simon Highfield pegged one back for the Hawks in a tight first quarter.
Proving they’re the best of enemies, the game threatened to erupt several times.
But the boys in blue held their nerve to eventually win by 20.
