‘SWAMP NATION’ TAKES OUT MNC QUALIFIER FOR MILLIGAN STABLE

The party is still kicking on at the Milligan stables after ‘Swamp Nation’ took out the Mid North Coast qualifier for the Country Championships at Randwick.

Madi Derrick guiding the 3-year-old filly through the pack to win the rice race at Taree on Sunday.

But trainer Glen Milligan says there’s plenty of work to be done, with the horse expected to race again before the half-million dollar final in April.

“Just where I’m not sure just yet, we’ve got 4 and a half weeks to wait to she’s got to be in it to win it I guess but she’s gonna have to improve a bit but we’re in it and a live chance,” Glen said.

Milligan could have two horses line up – entering ‘Vicki’s One’ in the wildcard qualifier at Scone.
