More police officers will be sent to Gunnedah to combat the recent rise of crime in the region.
Two new rural investigators, one inspector, and an administration worker will start work next month.
Kevin Anderson – with help from Gunnedah mayor Jamie Chaffey – is also pushing for the local police station to be manned 24 hours a day.
