A man has died after a lawnmowning accident on the Far North Coast.
The 66 year old was on a ride on, when the machine slipped and fell into a dam, pinning the man underneath.
He was reported missing yesterday afternoon after not turning up at a shift at the Mullumimby RSL.
A land search began last night and continued this morning with the assistance of the chopper.
Police think it may have happened yesterday afternoon at around 1 o’clock but he wasn’t found until just after 10am this morning.
