He was born and bred in the Manning Valley, but Luke Polson was wearing maroon last night, as part of the Queensland Police side that lost to New South Wales in the curtain-raiser to State of Origin.
Despite playing big minutes in the middle, he couldn’t help avoid the 28 to 12 loss.
Polson played junior footy with the Old Bar Pirates before making the move north of the border.
