Engines are roaring in Taree this weekend, for the first powerboat Easter Classic in three years.

Drivers have arrived from across the State for the postponed event, vying for the top cash prize in the Liberty Cup.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
