NSW PREMIER EXTENDS FREE RATS PROGRAM UNTIL OCTOBER

New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet had today extended free access to COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for the most vulnerable.

It comes after the federal support for free RATS was to run out at the end of this month.

The Premier said today that the state government would step in and extend the support for Commonwealth concession card holders until the end of October.

The program allows card holders access up to 10 free RATs.

The premier is anticipated to call for the federal government to reinstate pandemic support such as leave payments in National Cabinet on Monday, but has pre-empted the results of that meeting in part.
