Lake Macquarie skipper Chris Nicholson and his crew are now working to get back into the Volvo Ocean Race after recovering their stricken vessel.
Nicholson says cleaning up debris was just as important as saving their boat.
“None of the locals expected us to come back. It’s too difficult and I’m really proud we’ve done what we said and we’ve come back and cleaned it up.”
