Saturday at Sportsground No. 2, the Wildfires took on Randwick in round 16 of the Shute Shield.
Leading 21 to 15, the Wildfires looked set to add another win to the tally, but the party was spoilt by a late try to the Galloping Greens with about 2 minutes to go. Randwick added the conversion to win the game 22 to 21.
