Funded by NBN Television, this University of Newcastle, Mobile pollution van was created to test the air and the results were reported during NBN’s Nightly news..
Meteorologist Des Hart was NBN’s first weather presenter, using maps with hand drawn isobars and temperatures.
Des pioneered the sliding boards method, to improve the display of information.
Following in his footsteps, presenters Nat Jeffery, Gary Youngberry and Gavin Morris, continued NBN’s commitment to informing on the weather
