QUIRINDI SHOW ON AGAIN

Quirindi’s show has returned for another year, with thousands of people expected to stream through the gates.
The rides are as popular as ever with the kids, and there are plenty of stalls for mum and dad.
There are all the traditional Carnival style foods, like the dagwood dog and fairy floss.
But there was also some fancier fare, at the North West celebrity cook off.
Member for the Upper Hunter George Souris proving he’s more than adept in the kitchen, while local journalists Jennifer Ingall and Vivien Von Drehnen cooked up a storm.
But it was Caroona Coal Action Group’s Tim Duddy who took out the competition, with a beef dish accompanied by a fennell, pear and walnut salad.
