TAMWORTH COUNCIL PROPOSES CAMPING LIMIT OF 21 DAYS PER YEAR

A cap could soon be placed on how many days they’re permitted to camp in Tamworth each year.

Tamworth Regional Council has proposed for an annual 21-day limit to be placed on campers, to stop them from overstaying their welcome.

It believes long-term guests may be snatching up too much public land capacity and deterring tourists and weekenders from stopping by in the city.

The proposal will be placed on public exhibition in the New Year, with the community encouraged to have their say.
