Shutters go up on Forster Ambulance Station

The shutters have gone up today on the new Forster Ambulance Station.

The former Mid Coast Water office has been transformed to include staff amenties, accomodation and a gym.

But more importantly, parking bays for three new ambulances and 12 paramedics.

“We want our paramedics to be able to relax and debrief when they come back from situations that can be very challenging,” NSW Regional Health Minister Bronnie Taylor said.

“It’s a growing community so it’s ideal to have these extra staff come in to look after a growing population,” NSW Ambulance’s Inspector Ian Dwyer said.

Meanwhile a development application has been approved for a new station at Old Bar.

Construction there will begin early next year.
