A teenage girl is being questioned by police investigating a double stabbing at Raymond Terrace last night.
Officers were called to Roslyn Street at 10.30 after a fight broke out between two groups.
Police arrived to find a 20-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his throat, and a 22-year-old man with a stabbed hand.
Both were taken to John Hunter Hospital, and the 20-year-old remains in a critical condition.
