Northern New South Wales sweltered today with the mercury climbing on the coast and inland.
Our beaches and pools were swamped as families did their best to get some respite from the heat.
Temperatures were hottest up through the Hunter and North West today, climbing into the late 30s.
It’s now going from one extreme to another, the bureau saying there is a cool change on the way and thunderstorm warnings are in place.
