In roller derby, the Central Coast Valkyries put up a good fight against the south coast Steel City Derby Dolls in a tournament today, but it wasn’t enough to win the bout.
The south coast relied on tight defence and solid ‘walling’ to get them through by 192 points.
The clash was the first of the annual Eastern Region Roller Derby three day Tournament, which sees teams from around the state battle it out for glory.
